Stephen J Cannell Television producer-writer Stephen J. Cannell has launched his new show in syndication, sold off his production company and set his sights on another industry altogether, the literary world. The moves were Cannell’s reaction to TV mega-mergers squeezing out the little guys and networks canceling critically acclaimed shows.
