When ever the Hebrew scriptures were quoted, that contained the tetragramaton, it was proper to translate it as such, it would be improper to insert any other name in place of the tetragramaton, if the tetragramaton was called for. Most likely in the original Hebrew scriptures you will not find the name Jesus. the very first mention of Jesus is found at Matthew 1:1
And then, the idiot said this,
And then another person says, tell me just one place where Jesus referred to his Fathers name, and I wrote back
Luke 4: 5-8 says this, ” So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time; and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it. You, therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.” In reply Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” Here in this scripture Jesus is quoting from the Hebrew scriptures, and in the Hebrew scriptures, it uses YHWH, not Lord. You know, you make the claim that you were once one of Jehovah”s Witnesses, but I am here to tell you that you never were one. Maybe you were baptized, gave public talks, spent a hundred hours a month out in the field ministry, never missed a meeting in your life, polished the shoes of every single governing body member, but you never were a witness of Jehovah. These things that you are challenging are elementary, and should have been learned, if you never even got to the point of recognizing that God gave himself a name, no matter how that name is pronounced in different languages, and trust me, God does allow for differences in language, then obviously there are much more things left out of your spiritual advancement. I am not defending what has happened to the organization, it has drifted into apostasy, exactly like Christ said it would, but that is no reason for you to follow them over the cliff.
